Cheers Research

Local AI visibility, measured in public

We track whether local businesses get named in AI recommendations, whether the answer cites them, and what moves either number. The first edition covers 119 home-services organizations across 2,671,846 prompt checks, plus 356,019 citations collected in 100 metros. Aggregates only, and never a customer by name.

What we measure

Appearance and citation rates for 119 home-services organizations in the 28 days ending September 2, 2026, with 56 real-estate and 47 beauty organizations as comparison panels. Review velocity comes from the same production database over 90 days. A separate Cheers-owned baseline records which domains four engines cite in 100 metro service areas.

How often we update

Quarterly. Each figure carries its own source line and last-verified date, because the products, panels, and consumer habits behind AI search do not hold still. When a number gets superseded, we say so on the page instead of quietly swapping it.

The rule is simple: a published Cheers number must represent at least 10 organizations. Smaller cells are named as suppressed rather than merged, and this edition suppressed 5 of them. Read the full Cheers Research methodology.

Edition history

Edition September 2, 2026

Pulled from Cheers production on September 3, 2026 at 04:05 UTC. Opened Cheers Research with the first Home Services AI Visibility Index, a sourcebook of 31 panel figures and 25 figures from 7 public sources, and the methodology. The index publishes the vertical, trade, engine, prompt-shape, weekly trend, review, and metro cuts that the pre-pull draft had to withhold. Panel figures from that earlier snapshot are superseded.
